1. How do I measure correctly?
- For Reveal Fixing:
Measure the inside height, from the floor to the inside top of the door or window frame. Measure the inside width, from frame to frame. - For Face Fixing:
Measure the outside height, from the floor to the inside of the top of the door or window frame. Measure the outside width, from frame to frame.
2. How is the system installed?
For how to install yourself, step by step instruction sheets can be downloaded at technical information, install sheets on the website.
The system can be either reveal (mounted on the inside of the door or window frame) or face fixed (mounted on the outside of the door or window frame). Roll-Away screens can be recessed into the floor – allowance must be made for the drop into the flooring. See spec sheets for track and cassette dimensions.
3. How do I cut the system?
IMPORTANT: Prior to cutting the unit ensure BOTH sides of the opening are exactly the same measurement and sit level and square. If these measurements are not the same, make the necessary adjustments prior to cutting the system. A variation in these measurements may lead to the system functioning incorrectly.
The cassette, mesh and handle are assembled and supplied as one single part of the unit. The screen mesh on the inner tube, the cassette and the handle bar must be cut at the same time with a circular saw blade (120 to 200 teeth steel/80 or 90 teeth carbide) or a professional hacksaw blade (32 teeth). The other channels and tracks are cut separately.
4. What should I do if my system does not retract properly?
If a system does not retract, double-check all the measurements. The system requires that BOTH sides of the opening are exactly the same measurement and sit level and square. If these measurements are not the same, make the necessary adjustments prior to cutting the system. A variation in these measurements may lead to the system functioning incorrectly.
5. Can I adjust the tension on the system?
Tension can be adjusted by turning the end cap spring. Clockwise rotation increases the tension. Anticlockwise rotation will reduce the tension.
6. Is there a warranty on the system?
Artilux Australia Pty Ltd (Artilux) warrants to the original purchaser of this Roll Up/Roll Away System that should this product or any part be proven defective in material or workmanship, from the date of purchase for a period of no more than 5 years subject to the paragraph below, such defect(s) will be repaired or replaced at Artilux’s option without charge for parts or labour for such defect(s).

7. How do I replace my screen if I tear or damage it?
