We recommend:
The Artilux range of retractable fly screens is suitable for all types of windows and doors. Both the Alfresco Pleated insect screen and the cassette style retractable flyscreens are designed to blend seamlessly with your living space. Based on the feedback and usage experience from our clients, we can provide the following tips:
Alfresco Pleated Retractable Screen:
- Households with young children or seniors prefer the Alfresco Pleated Screen, as it is a free sliding system, can stop anywhere, is tension free and easy to operate. Furthermore, as the mesh is pleated it is visible as you approach it and therefore one less likely to walk though it.
- Homeowners with large bifold doors or areas to be screened, who prefer to add a subtle detail to their decor, favour the Alfresco Pleated Insect Screen, as it is not only functional but also regarded as decorative.
Multi-Lock Soft Close Retractable Insect Screen:
- Homeowners with bifold doors or large areas to be screened, who prefer a much more “non apparent” mesh in their view and also want the functional aspect of stopping the screen along the opening choose the Multi-Lock.
Standard Soft Close Retractable Insect Screen:
- Is preferred by homeowners for use in windows, single or French doors where the opening is relatively small. In these applications the screens generally do not require any special locking or positioning as they are kept either opened or closed.
Chain Glide Soft Close Retractable Insect Screen:
- The Chain Glide Retractable Fly Screen is popular amongst home owners that are concerned about drilling or recessing into their floors, particularly those with timber, marble and tile finishes. The Chain Glide system has a very discreet bottom guide of only 5 mm that is secured in the floor.
Wheelchair / Pram accessible:
- All our range of retractable insect screens can be purchased with an optional ramp when not recessed into the floor, making them user friendly for wheelchair or pram access.
